Hi there... I'm Mackenzie, the founder, designer, and everything in between at Evolve Mental Health Apparel. Since I was sixteen I have lived with Major depressive disorder, Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Chronic fatigue, and debilitating chronic pain; which has led to numerous other health problems. There has been many times I felt alone, felt like a burden, and that life wasn't worth living anymore; but I never stopped fighting to be here.
Evolve Mental Health Apparel was created at the end of 2021, after many years of trials and error, figuring out how I could bring this brand to life, the ADHD impulse kicked in, and it was go time. Since then I have taken breaks from selling online, attending markets, and being active on social media, and instead took time to focus on my mental, physical, and social life which ultimately led me to becoming a Registered Social Worker in June 2024. I believe that being vulnerable is not a weakness, it's important to share our experiences and stories to help heal ourselves and others.
My mission with Evolve Mental Health Apparel is to open up the conversation around mental health, help normalize seeking help without judgment, and the resources available. When "I" is replaced with "We", Illness becomes Wellness.
