10% of every EVOLVE Mental Health Apparel purchase is donated to organizations that support and provide help to people looking for mental health and mental illness supports. Many of these organizations are local to central Alberta, but often times are organizations within Canada.

To date EVOLVE Mental Health Apparel has donated to: The Canadian Mental Health Association (Camrose, Edmonton, and Red Deer Region), The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Mental Health Commission of Canada, Edmonton CASA Mental Health, Camrose Open Door Association, Smiles Thru Lindsey Foundation, and The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation.

Hi there... I'm Mackenzie, the owner, creator, designer, and everything in between at EVOLVE Mental Health Apparel. Welcome and thank you for taking the time to read about me and my why.

EVOLVE Mental Health Apparel was established in April 2021, initially shared with friends and family on Instagram before expanding to a website and participating in local markets and events in central Alberta.

As of June 2024, I can proudly say that I am a registered social worker in Alberta and have gained a deeper understanding of mental health and how I can spread awareness to a growing concern in Canada within people of all ages. It all begins with the person - it's important to recognize that mental health is intertwined with various aspects of a person's life, including physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health.

Since I was sixteen, in 2012, I have lived with depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), chronic fatigue, and an unknown debilitating chronic pain after experiencing a traumatic illness to my body. Since then I have navigated the medical system in search of help to simply just survive without pain. 13 years later, here I am, almost twenty-nine and although I still live with all of the same symptoms, I have chose to evolve rather than feel defeated.

I share my story through EVOLVE MHA because I believe being vulnerable is not a weakness, it's crucial to share experiences to heal ourselves and others. If you found my page, I'm glad you have! You are not alone - when 'I' becomes 'we', illness becomes wellness 🩵
